PTAfterschool

PTAfterschool is 100% powered by Don Benito PTA parent volunteers.

The program offers a series of moderated after-school clubs and programs throughout the year, designed to complement Don Benito’s existing fee-based programs and after-school care by providing low-to-no cost after-school enrichment options for students.

PTAfterschool is:

Free to Don Benito students*
• Designed to stimulate learning and growth
• Exposure to topics not covered in the regular school day’s curriculum (Topics may range from science exploration, filmmaking / animation, chess, homework help etc. (if you  have a special skill and want to help run a club, let us know!!!)

*We may ask for a small optional materials donation (never over $50) to recoup some club expenses.

After-school Enrichment is not child care – your child must actively participate in the clubs to be included. When demand exceeds availability in each club, a lottery will be conducted to ensure fair access.

If club sign-up lists are over-capacity, a lottery will be conducted to select students for the class. Every effort will be made to ensure an even distribution of students across all applicable grades within the club. All students not selected due to over-capacity will be placed on a wait-list. If a student is selected for more than one club, he or she will have to select one club to enroll in. Students may not be enrolled in more than one club per trimester.

Current After-School Opportunities:
