Parent Enrichment Program Event: Technology Time Out!

Were you one of the many parents that were overwhelmed by your the family “technology takeover” this summer? School was out and so was the sun – it was hot outside and so staying indoors seemed like a great idea… until our children were constantly gravitating toward the iPad, Nintendo, X-Box, Wii, tablet – and even our phones! What is this power it holds over them?
We will cover the effects of technology on your child’s:
• developing brain
• physical health (and not just from lack of movement)
• academic success
• social and emotional development
Our speaker for this evening is Eddie Galvan, professor of Child Development Psychology at Pasadena City College.
